"I cancelled my policy on September 3rd, because it was going to jump from $34 a month to $156 a month. But the agent didn't inform me that it could take awhile. I was told that it would get it done that day. But they didn't do it and 17 days later they took they money out of my account completely wiping out my account putting it into overdraft. Now, 7 more items are scheduled to come in and each one will have a $37 overdraft fee to it. One is only for $4.99. I will be in the overdraft over $500 before its all through. The total amount in overdraft fees will be$296. I am a terminal disabled person who lives off of less then $1000 a month. They couldn't explain to me why the drastic change, even though I moved to Virginia. I researched it and their quote was wrong! I drive a vehicle that is 2 years away from being an antique and it has over 225,00 miles. I've never had a ticket. I go to the doctors, the pharmacy, and the grocery store. I very rarely travel as I have to see my doctors every month. They are not going to return my money. When I first told them I was moving I was reassured that it didn't go up much but about $12. Then I noticed no payment was taken out on the 3rd, so I called. Then it was $99, then in the same confab, I was told I had to pay the $156. So I cancelled the policy. I can't afford that. When I spoke to the agent and was told that it was going to be $56 a month, I said sign me up and get it on automatic payment. I was also told to call back in a few days to remind the agent to get the auto pay started. Why should a client have to call an agent to remind them to do there job???? Now, after my fixed bills, I will have $77.52 to live off for the rest of October. Thanks so much Hackett! This was so poorly handled and I have to be the one to suffer from someone else's mistakes. I never could get an explanation that made any sense. Just double talk. When I called and cancelled, it should have been done, not take a month to process. Maybe the good Lord will just take me in my sleep."
